Wheat Threshing in Kacha – khushab
Once a time when the women pour the grain in group shape and it present a cool and nice view. They grind it in the grinder (Chakki) but now it is grinded in electric china grinding machine. In the harvesting season, the laborers worked together and it seems a team work. They don’t care of scorching heat and sweat. Anyhow, still it is carry on in many area of country to thresh the wheat with hand.
Wheat Threshing
Take a sheet of cloth and fold it from all four corners. Keep the stalk in the folding sheet and hold it with both hands. Hit the stalk over a big rock again and again, you will see after a few attempts the kernels will be there in the cloth. Untie the cloth and gather the kernels. The rest stalk will remain in the cloth and it is of no use. The stalk is the basically our need, so store it into sacks or containers.
