Arabic calligraphy
Arabic Calligraphy has much resembling with Islamic calligraphy. This calligraphy was mostly practiced by Muslim artists. This calligraphy is use to decorate the wall and ceiling of the holy place like mosque and other, and this art is called Arabesque.
All the Muslim calligraphy is based on oral and translation. They only use this art as a transmission of their religious value. It has not any single example of displaying image. Islam does not allow anyone to display the Islamic view and matter in visual shape.
If we see the history of Islamic-Arabic calligraphy, it is full of Islamic verses and translation.IN other word you can say the Arabic art is an abstract art in real. Because it describes about the theories and histories.

Later on other three arts also derived from this calligraphy; Islamic art, Muslim art and Pakistani art. Special pen made of bamboo is used for writing Arabic calligraphy. The ancient calligraphy was replaced with modern Arabic calligraphy because of large stroke and curve. Arabic Islamic art introduced the geometric art for the 1st time and then it is known by every one with in very short time. Islamic Arabic artwork is offered for sale and it is purchased by many devotees like a hot cake.
