Persian Calligraphy

Persian calligraphy is the standard system of calligraphy for writing Persian language. It considers as the fundamental script for Persians. This calligraphy demonstrates the culture of Persian.
The Persian calligraphy came into being a long before the advent of Islam. The ancient script “Taliq” is the earlier form for Persian calligraphy. The Persian calligraphy also travelled towards South Asia because of Mughal Emperor. When the Mughal emperor came in south Asia, their language was Persian and at that time Nastaliq was used to write Persian. Similarly it spread in relevant areas like Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Shekasteh and Naghashi-khat are the most preeminent genres of Persian calligraphy. The Persian calligraphy changed its shape with the passage of time, there are three main periods old Persian, Middle Persian and New Persian. It also developed into classic Persian period and here it combined with Islamic calligraphy. Persian alphabets are written in modern Arabic; therefore it is called perso-arabic script. The vowels and pronunciation of both words are same because of perso-arabic script. The Persians are well-known because of their art work for culture.

The Persian rug is famous over all in the world. Besides this, the Persian also worked in ceramics, pottery, music and architecture and literature.
